Willingness is when someone agrees or seems ready to do something that might not be easy or fun for them.
You've probably heard people talk about being willing to try new foods, travel alone, or help a friend with their move. When you ask someone if they're willing to lend you money, they're not saying yes just because they have to - they're giving you an honest answer about whether they feel like helping out. A willingness to learn something new is often shown by taking classes or reading books on the subject. People may also talk about their willingness to take risks in business or their willingness to work hard to achieve a goal, which means they're committed and motivated to do what it takes.
