Warped is an adjective that describes something with a twisted or distorted shape. Imagine taking a perfect circle and stretching it until it's all wonky.
When we talk about things being warped, we usually mean that they've lost their original shape. For example, if you leave a picture on the floor for too long, it might get creased and wrinkled - warped by the weight of something else. The same thing can happen to fabric or even your favorite jeans if you sit in them for hours with your feet hanging over the edge. Warped also applies to sounds: if music is recorded poorly, it might come out all distorted and not sound like itself - that's warped too.
How common is "warping"?
Word warping is considered rare in modern English. It appears most frequently in magazine texts and less often in other writings.
