A villain is someone who does bad things or hurts others, often with a mean intention. They can also be an evil character in a story.

When we talk about villains, we usually think of people doing something wrong in real life, like stealing or hurting others on purpose. But when we watch movies or read books, the word villain is often used to describe a person who is not just bad, but also cool and interesting - like a supervillain! Think of Batman's arch-nemesis, The Joker, or the evil queen in Snow White. In these cases, the villain is an exciting character that adds tension and conflict to the story. Sometimes, even if someone isn't a real-life bad person, we might call them a villain because their actions are especially wrong or hurtful.
