Verbalize means to put your thoughts or feelings into words.
When people want to explain their emotions or ideas, they often need to verbalize them. This can happen when someone's been thinking a lot about something and now wants to talk it through with a friend, family member, or even just by themselves. Verbalizing can be helpful for understanding yourself better, especially if you're trying to work out what you really think about something. It can also be useful in communication, like during conversations where people try to clarify their point of view. Even though verbalize is often used as a verb, it's not too commonly seen as an adjective or adverb, but it has those forms too: for example, the verb form is usually what we're talking about, and the adjectival form might be used in expressions like 'verbalize your feelings'.
(transitive) To speak or to use words to express.
Example: Bill became tongue-tied and could not verbalize his thoughts in the presence of the girl he had a crush on.
