A brave act or behavior that shows someone's courage and strength.

When we talk about valor, we usually think of people doing something heroic. For example, soldiers might show great valor during a war by standing up to enemy fire and fighting for their country. The word can also describe ordinary people who do something very difficult or scary in order to help others. If someone shows valor by saving a child from a burning building, we would say they acted with courage and bravery. It's not just about grand acts of heroism; sometimes showing valor means facing your fears and doing what needs to be done.
