Unpopular means not liked or approved by many people.

When we say someone or something is unpopular, we usually mean that they're not well-liked by most people. It could be because of their behavior, what they do, or who they are. For example, if a new restaurant in town has terrible reviews and nobody wants to eat there, it's likely to become an unpopular place. People might even avoid talking about it. On the other hand, something that's very popular can be the opposite – lots of people like or admire it, and many want to try it out for themselves.
