An uncovered place or thing is one that's not hidden or protected. For example, a window that hasn't been covered with curtains is an uncovered window.
When we say something is uncovered, we usually mean it's revealed to us, either because someone removed what was hiding it, or because the hiding thing got moved away. Think about finding a beach after a storm: when the waves go down, parts of the sand and rocks that were hidden get uncovered. It can be nice to see things that were previously hidden, but sometimes being uncovered means something is no longer safe or private.
