A towelette is a small, disposable piece of cloth used for cleaning or wiping something. It's usually made of paper or a similar material.
You might see towelettes being used when someone wants to clean their hands quickly, like after eating outdoors or before doing some messy activity. You'll often find them near sinks in public restrooms or at events where hand sanitizer is needed but water isn't available. Some products also come with their own towelette, such as eye makeup remover or nail polish remover - these are usually for one-time use only and then thrown away.
A small towel, hand or face wipe, either dry or more commonly impregnated with water or a cleansing fluid.
Example: The folded moist towelette was smaller than my palm, but when unfolded at least cleaned my hands.
