Theorized means to create or suggest an idea about how something works or happens based on incomplete information. It's often used when people are trying to understand a complex problem.

When we theorize, we're making educated guesses about what might be going on. Imagine you see a weird mark on the wall and wonder where it came from. You could say that you've theorized it was made by an animal because of the way it looks, but you're not really sure. Maybe someone else will come along and provide more information to support or reject your idea. Scientists often do this when they try to figure out how something works.
