Surviving means staying alive or managing to stay in existence through difficult times. It's not about being happy, but about making it.

When we talk about surviving something, like a storm or a breakup, we usually mean that we're getting by somehow. We might be struggling, but we're still standing. For example, "I've been surviving on minimal sleep for weeks" means you haven't had much rest, but you're still going through your daily routine. In some cases, "surviving" can also refer to the financial struggle of making ends meet – like paying bills and eating well despite having a tight budget.
