Summoning means calling or bringing someone or something to a particular place.
When we think about summoning, we often imagine magic and fantasy movies. In those stories, a wizard might use magic to summon a dragon or a hero to their side. But in real life, summoning is more about inviting or asking someone to come to you for a meeting, job interview, or some other important occasion. For example, if your boss summons you to the office, it's likely because they want to discuss something with you in person. In this sense, summoning can also refer to sending out an official call or invitation, like a court summons that requires someone to appear in court.
To call people together; to convene.
The act by which somebody is summoned.
Example: spirit summonings
