A stove is a big appliance used for cooking food.

You might see a stove in someone's kitchen at home. It usually has four or more burners on it, which are like big knobs that turn to control how much heat is coming out of each one. The stove also typically has an oven underneath the burners, where you can bake cakes and roast vegetables. Some people call this kind of stove a range because it's got both burners and an oven in one unit.
