Solitude is being alone with no one around, or having time for yourself to think and relax. It's not always lonely; sometimes it can feel peaceful.

When people talk about solitude, they often mention how much they enjoy spending a weekend by themselves at home, reading books, watching movies, or taking long walks in nature. Some artists even seek out solitude as a way to focus on their work without distractions. In contrast, some people might prefer the company of others and feel unhappy when alone for too long. For example, if you're an introvert, you might think that solitude is your chance to recharge, but to an extrovert it could be boring or even scary.
