A skyscraper is a very tall building that people live or work in. It's often found in big cities.

You might hear someone say "I'm going to work in a skyscraper" and they'll mean that their office is on a high floor of a super-tall building. Skyscrapers are like giant pillars that go up into the air, sometimes reaching as high as 100 floors or more. They have elevators that take people all the way to the top where there's often a fancy restaurant or observation deck with great views. Some cities even have famous skyscrapers that become landmarks and attract tourists from around the world. When people talk about skyscrapers, they're usually talking about their height and the exciting things you can do inside them.
