To shrink something means to make it smaller or to reduce its size.

When we talk about shrinking something, we often mean making it physically smaller. For example, if you take a picture and shrink it down to a tiny version on your phone, that's an example of shrinking. People also talk about shrinking in the context of prices - if a store is having a sale where everything costs 50% less, they might say "prices are shrunk for this weekend only". This usually means the prices have gone down and you can buy things more cheaply. In some cases, people use shrink to describe making something smaller or reducing its importance in a figurative sense - if someone's plans get canceled due to bad weather, we could say their whole day has shrunk down to just doing one thing instead of many.
