A puck is a small, flat piece of rubber used in sports like ice hockey and field hockey.

You might see a player hitting a puck into the goal or trying to control it on their stick. In some countries, especially Canada and the US, people also use the term "puck" informally to refer to something that's silly or playful, similar to how we might say "trick" or "gimmick".
