A psychopath is someone who has no regard for others' feelings or rights and can often be very manipulative. They might use this behavior to get what they want.
In everyday language, people use the word "psychopath" to describe someone with a personality disorder that makes them act in extreme ways. This usually means hurting or taking advantage of others without feeling any guilt or remorse. Sometimes the term is used loosely and can be misunderstood - for instance, if someone does something mean, we might say they're being psychopathic, but technically it's only people who have been diagnosed with a specific condition that fit this label.
A person with a personality disorder indicated by a pattern of lying, cunning, manipulating, glibness, exploiting, heedlessness, arrogance, delusions of grandeur, sexual promiscuity, low self-control, disregard for morality, lack of acceptance of responsibility, callousness, and lack of empathy and remorse. Such an individual may be especially prone to violent and criminal offenses.
