A pore is a small opening or hole in something.

We use the word "pore" when we talk about skin. When you take care of your skin, one way to do that is to make sure pores aren't clogged with dirt and oil. That's why you wash your face regularly and exfoliate sometimes - it helps keep your pores clear. Some people get worried if they have big pores or pores that look like blackheads; but in most cases, having some pores is just a normal part of being human!
