An adjacent place or thing is neighboring.

When we talk about something being near someone's house or building, we often use the word "neighboring". For example, if your apartment has a garden that shares a fence with the one next door, you could say it's part of the neighboring property. People might also say their neighborhood is diverse and full of different cultures because they have neighbors from all over the world living nearby.
