A limb is a part of the body that helps us move around. It can be an arm or a leg.
When we talk about limbs, we usually think about our arms and legs because they're what allow us to walk, run, jump, and do all sorts of other physical activities. But sometimes when people say "limb," they might mean just the body part itself, like if someone gets hurt on the job, their employer is required by law to give them special compensation for the loss of a limb - in other words, money or help because one of their arms or legs isn't working anymore.
A major appendage of human or animal, used for locomotion (such as an arm, leg or wing).
To remove the limbs from (an animal or tree).
Example: They limbed the felled trees before cutting them into logs.
