An humiliation is a situation or experience that makes someone feel extremely embarrassed and ashamed.

When we say someone has been humiliated, it usually means they've done something silly or foolish in public, like tripping on stage or accidentally making a big mistake. In both cases, the person feels very embarrassed and often wants to hide from others because of what happened.
