A furious person is extremely angry or enraged.

You've probably seen someone get furious before - maybe they were stuck in traffic and got frustrated with the driver ahead of them. Or perhaps you witnessed a heated argument between two friends, one of whom became furious at the other's words. The word "furious" can also be used to describe intense emotions like passion or excitement, but anger is its most common connotation. For example, "The crowd went furious when their team scored the winning goal." In this case, "furious" doesn't mean angry so much as it means wildly enthusiastic.
