A follower is someone who imitates or supports another person, usually through social media.
When we talk about followers, it's often online. Think of your favorite singer or athlete on Instagram – they have thousands and thousands of followers. These people like their posts, share them with friends, and even try to be just like them. It's not always a bad thing; having many followers can be a big help for someone who wants to get their message out or build a business. But sometimes it feels like the follower is more interested in being famous themselves than actually caring about what the original person has to say.
