An exploited person or group is being taken advantage of for someone else's gain. They might not get fair treatment or respect.

When people talk about exploitation, they usually mean that someone has more power and uses it to hurt others. For example, if a company pollutes a neighborhood and doesn't take responsibility, the residents could say their rights are being exploited. Sometimes exploitation happens in workplaces where employees don't earn enough for the work they do or have poor working conditions.
