A discoverer is someone who finds or uncovers new things, often about the past. They might write books or give talks about what they've discovered.

When people talk about a discoverer, it's usually because they've made some kind of breakthrough. Maybe an archaeologist was digging in Egypt and stumbled upon a lost city that no one had known about before - now he's a discoverer! In science, a researcher might be working on a new theory and then suddenly, "aha!" - they've discovered something important that changes our understanding of the world. Or maybe someone has just been exploring their local area and found an old map or document that nobody knew existed, making them a discoverer too. Discoverers are like the detectives of history, uncovering secrets and shedding new light on things we thought we already knew.
