Daytime refers to the time of day when the sun is up.

In everyday conversation, we use "daytime" to talk about activities that happen during this period. For example, if someone asks what your plans are for today, and you say you're going shopping or meeting a friend at lunch, they know it's daytime because you're referring to hours when people usually do those things. It makes sense to say you have a "daytime job" because that means the work is done during normal daytime hours.
