An analyse is a careful examination and breakdown of information or a problem.

When we need to figure out what's going on with something, whether it's a complicated issue or a set of data, we often say that someone will "analyse" it. For example, if you're trying to decide which college course to take next semester, you might ask your teacher to help you analyse the pros and cons of each option. This means they'll break down all the advantages and disadvantages so you can make a more informed choice. If a detective is investigating a crime, they will also need to analyse evidence to solve the mystery. In both cases, analysis involves looking closely at different parts or aspects, trying to understand how they fit together, and making sense of what's happening.
